Bring a burst of mid-century Italian flair to your space with this Vintage Italian Pottery Dish or Bowl, inspired by the iconic style of Marcello Fantoni. Crafted in the 1960s, it showcases Fantoni’s love for rich textures and bold, abstract shapes that playfully dance across its organic form. The vibrant glaze combines earthy tones with a lively pop of color, making it a captivating centerpiece that sparks conversation. Wrapped in soft leather on the outside, this piece invites you to touch as much as admire, blending artistry and tactile delight in one unforgettable creation. Perfect for adding a playful yet sophisticated touch to any collection!
Marcello Fantoni was a talented Florentine artist known for his ceramic creations. He studied at the Art Institute in Florence, learning sculpting from Libero Andreotti and Bruno Innocenti, and figurative art from Gianni Vagnetti. Fantoni started his ceramic work in 1934 and opened his own factory in 1936. After World War II, his popularity soared, and today, his pieces are proudly displayed in major museums around the world—from the USA to Japan—showcasing his playful yet masterful artistry.
