Labor Day is quite literally just around the corner. First things first, let's learn about WHY exactly we celebrate on this day. Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894.
Labor Day weekend also symbolizes the end of summer for many Americans, which begs the question, "Do we even know what season or time is anymore?"

What better way to relax on labor day than a picnic with your loved ones! Here's how we would do it, hopefully, it inspires you too.
The first step is PREP!
Let's start with the perfect guilt-free cocktail:
What you'll need:
1. White Wine
2. Chilled club soda
3. A slice of lime
Combine the three ingredients and voilà you have the perfect end-of-summer beverage.
Next, FOOD
Chicken salad and picnics go hand in hand, this cannot be argued.
Here's the perfect quick recipe:
What you'll need:
1. Cooked and Diced chicken breasts
2. Lemon
3. Diced Celery
4. Diced Green onions
5. Chopped Parsley
6. Mayonnaise to taste
7. Dijon mustard to taste
8. Whatever you would like to serve it on
How to make it:
1. Add chicken to a large mixing bowl
2. Pour lemon juice over chicken
3. Add celery, green onions, parsley, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon zest
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste
5. Toss to combine
