FAQ

The Custom Process

No, we carry a selection of limited edition, one-of-a-kind, and classic pieces in our boutique, both in store and online.  We always try to have something ready that works for those last minute special occasions!

While everything depends on the style, you will typically come in to have a consultation with David to determine your needs. (This can also happen virtually too!) Once we've settled on a design and fabric, we will usually do a muslin fitting. Basically, a mock-up of your dress or gown is made in inexpensive fabric to make sure we have the proportions right. After that is confirmed, we will then have a couple of fittings in the final fabric.
For big events like weddings, we aim to complete everything a month before the event so that we have time to make changes if needed. Rush orders are done as quickly as possible depending on fabric availability.

The price range varies, but you can typically add 20-30% to our retail prices to get an idea. Simple modifications to existing styles could be less. On the flip side, fabric choice can dramatically increase cost depending on what is chosen.

Keep I mind that all alterations and adjustments are included in custom orders.

While prices vary based on the complexity of the design and the fabrication, here is a rough guide to give you an idea.
MOB/MOG or Gala Gown: $2,500-$6,500+
Wedding Gowns (Simple): Start at $3,500
Wedding Gowns (Lace/Beading): Start at $5,000

For in-stock fabrics, allow 15 weeks

Special order fabrics may take additional time.

Rush orders are possible, but will incur an additional fee.

We have been known to turn things around quickly. Ask us about the time we made a wedding gown in 3 days!

No and Yes. In order to book a Design Consultation, you must pay a $100 Design Consultation Fee. HOWEVER, that fee is applied to your purchase and you have up to one year from your Design Consultation to think about it.

If you decide not to move forward with your custom look, you will receive a $100 Gift Certificate that expires one year from the date of your Design Consultation. This Gift Certificate can be used to purchase any products in our boutique, including the wide array of amazing gifts and accessories from local, woman-owned, and minority-owned businesses.

So while there is a commitment, you are never losing money.

General Questions

Yes! Most of our customers say that while they may love fashion, they hate shopping. We make that easy by getting to know YOU. What you like, where you are going, and what makes you feel good is important to us, and we aim to make the whole process simple. The more we get to know you, the better we can help!

Do pocket squares and bowties that can be customized count?

YES! We like to think of it as just being YOUR SIZE. In our boutique we carry items up to XXL and have many One Size (that really work for plus sizes) options as well.

While we'd love to have everything that we have available online, it's just not possible. Our website features our latest items as well as many of our classic pieces. If you are looking for something in particular and don't see it on the site, please call us at 281-888-6391 or email us at hello@shopdavidpeck.com.

If a product or size is out of stock, you can fill out the 'back in stock' form to get notified of when we've restocked the product!

Keep in mind that we make all of our clothing. If you see a style that's not available in your size, chances are that we can make it for you! Just ASK and we can give you your options!
