The Made-to-Order Process

Not sure if Made-to-Order is right for you? We offer three distinct options: Made to Order, Semi-Custom,and Fully Custom. 

If you have a question, ask us! There are no stupid questions, and we've made wedding dresses in 3 days (not our first recommendation, but life happens!), so know that the timelines presented here are just a starting point.

Made-to-Order

What is Made-to-Order? Made-to-Order involves selecting a design from our extensive collection, which we then create specifically for you in your choice of fabrics and colors. We have a large library of styles beyond what you see on our website—hundreds of designs to choose from when you visit the boutique.

Ideal for: Clients seeking a designer piece without the need for extensive customization or David's direct involvement. Great for those on a tighter timeline who want a beautiful, well-made garment.

Process Overview:

1. Selection: Choose your favorite design from our collection (in-person or online browse our website and social media).
2. Customization: Select your fabric and color preferences.
3. Measurement: Provide your measurements to ensure a great fit.
4. Production: We create the garment specifically for you.
5. Delivery: Your designer piece is ready to wear.
6. Alterations (optional): Should you desire any alterations after the garment is made—hemming or taking in the waist, for example.

Timeline: Typically 4-6 weeks.

Cost: Base garment price plus 20% for special order, plus any fabric change fees depending on your fabric selection.

Consultation Fee: None

Personalization Level: Moderate – select from existing designs with adjustments for size, fabric, and color. Not all styles are available in all fabrics.

Preparation Tips: Come shop in person to see hundreds of sample garments and access our full design archive, or review our collection online and have your measurements ready. No appointment is necessary, but you are welcome to schedule a complimentary shopping appointment with one of our experienced staff members.

Is Made to Order Right for You?

Made to Order might be perfect if:

• You love an existing David Peck design
• You want to choose your own fabric and color
• Your timeline is 4-6 weeks
• You don't need David's direct involvement

Consider Semi-Custom if:

• You want modifications to an existing design (neckline changes, sleeve adjustments, etc.)
• You need sizing outside our standard range (00-18 / XXS-XXL)
• Timeline: 6-8 weeks

Consider Fully Custom if:

• You want a completely original design that doesn't exist in our archive
• You want David's direct involvement from design through every fitting
• Timeline: 17+ weeks
• Minimum investment: $7,500
