We are here to guide you through your fully custom design experience. The steps below are a general guideline of what you can expect the process to look like. Keep in mind that each garment is unique to you so there can be variations in the process.

There is a $500 Design Consultation Fee to reserve your appointment. The fee will be credited to your purchase should you move forward with Semi-Custom. If, during your consultation, we determine your project can be achieved through Made-to-Order (no modifications needed), the $500 will be credited to that order instead. If you decide not to proceed with any purchase, your fee will be converted into a store credit valid for David Peck products only (expires 2 months from consultation date).

Bring inspiration photos, know your event timeline, and have an open mind for creative exploration.

At your design consultation with David, we'll discuss ideas and inspirations for your custom garment. You will try on samples if necessary, and review fabric and embellishment options before approving a final design. Be sure to bring any inspiration that you may have—Pinterest pictures, existing garments, fashion editorials!

At this appointment, we will also quote the price of the garment. When you are ready to move forward, we take your measurements and schedule all of your fittings and pick-up date.

Depending on your design and the modifications requested, this appointment may or may not be needed. During this appointment, you'll try on a prototype or muslin of your garment to get an idea of the shape and silhouette on your body. A muslin is a mockup of your design in a simple fabric. It is at this fitting that we can make any design changes needed before cutting the garment from the final fabric.

What to bring: The undergarments (especially the bra) you plan to wear with your garment.

At your fabric fitting, you will try your garment on in the chosen fabric from your design consultation. If you have the actual shoes or shoes of similar height you plan to wear with your garment, please bring them so that we can make adjustments to the hem length. Bring the proper undergarments so that you can see the exact fit. Any alterations or adjustments will be made at this fitting. The number of subsequent fabric fittings will vary depending on the complexity of the design.

What to bring: Shoes (or similar height) and proper undergarments.

This is the very last fitting before you take the garment home with you. If you have the actual shoes or shoes of similar height you plan to wear with your garment, please bring them, as well as the proper undergarments so that you can see the accurate fit. It is important to us at David Peck that your garment fits you perfectly and that you feel beautiful and are in love with the end result once you leave us.

What to bring: Shoes, proper undergarments, and (optional) jewelry or accessories for the complete look.

Standard Timeline: Please allow for a minimum of 17 weeks for most fully custom orders. Certain fabrications may take additional time, which will be discussed at your Design Consultation.

Typical Timeline (for non-rush orders):

• Design Consultation
• Muslin fitting: 4-6 weeks after consultation
• Fabric Fitting: 3-4 weeks after muslin
• Final Fitting: 2-3 weeks before Pick Up

Rush Fees: Garments can be rushed for additional fees:

• 12-16 weeks: +$500
• 8-11 weeks: +$1,000
• Under 8 weeks: +$2,000 (subject to availability and David's approval—rare)

Payment Schedule:

• 50% due when you approve the design and we start production
• 50% due at your first fabric fitting

Fully Custom is perfect if:

• You want a completely original design that doesn't exist in our archive
• You want David's direct involvement from consultation through every fitting
• Your timeline is 17+ weeks
• Your budget is $7,500+
• You value the complete white-glove experience
