Vintage | Italian Pottery Dish or Bowl in the style of Marcello Fantoni, 1960s | Fish

This Vintage Italian Pottery Dish or Bowl, inspired by Marcello Fantoni’s style, hails from the 1960s and highlights his signature focus on texture and shape with a bold fish motif. The lively glaze and energetic design perfectly embody the playful yet refined spirit of Italian ceramics from that time. Wrapped in soft leather on the outside, this piece is as tactile as it is visually striking. Whether displayed as art or used practically, this vintage bowl adds a fun and sophisticated touch to any collection.

Marcello Fantoni was a talented Florentine artist known for his ceramic creations. He studied at the Art Institute in Florence, learning sculpting from Libero Andreotti and Bruno Innocenti, and figurative art from Gianni Vagnetti. Fantoni started his ceramic work in 1934 and opened his own factory in 1936. After World War II, his popularity soared, and today, his pieces are proudly displayed in major museums around the world—from the USA to Japan—showcasing his playful yet masterful artistry.
