It’s the holiday season, so hoop-de-do and Dickory dock! Today, we have a simple holiday how-to for you.
This is for all of our minimal chic, or more is more kind of friends and we can’t wait to show you how you can use your fabric napkins as a decorative element to your table setting or dinner.
We will walk you through step by step on how to so you can feel like Martha Stewart during the holidays.
What you will need:
- Fabric Napkin
- Napkin Ring
- Any type of festive flowers that you can purchase at the grocery store or local floral shop
- Scissors
Let’s get started:
Step 1: Grab your scissors and flowers to begin cutting little bundles of sprigs from your arrangement that will be used to tuck into your napkin.
Step 2: Grab your Fabric Napkin and fold it in half to make a long rectangle.
Step 3: Fold your napkin in half again, creating a square.
Step 4: Take your folded napkin and lay it in front of you like a diamond where a corner lays at the top and bottom.
Step 5: Begin arranging a few of your sprigs on your napkin at the top corner. About 5 or 6 depending on the types of flowers or greenery you are using. Creating a small bouquet. Option* You can use small clear elastic hair ties to bundle your sprigs together for easy removal.
Step 6: Fold your side corners inward one at a time over the top of the flower stems. Creating a triangle.
Step 7: Slide your napkin ring over the point of the tringle gathering all materials together.
Step 8: Voila! A beautiful napkin bouquet, perfect to place directly on the plate or beside it. Functional yet decorative!
Such a simple yet elegant way to display your linens for that special dinner or that beautiful table setting. You are sure to get plenty of OOOO’s and AAHHH’s this holiday season. ENJOY!
